The gathering of Maelifell and Garvalf, which was planned at the end of the 90's, finally came to fruition in the year 2022, shortly after the vain assaults of the material world seemed to show a new kind of paroxysm, confirming the relevance of the paths chosen by the two artists.

This "split album" of French Rural Synth therefore proposes two journeys at the crossroads of the spiritual and imaginary worlds.

La réunion de Maelifell et Garvalf, envisagée à la fin des années 90, s'est finalement concrétisée en l'an 2022, peu de temps après que les vains assauts du monde matériel aient semblé montrer une nouvelle sorte de paroxysme, confirmant la pertinence des voies choisies par les deux artistes.

Ce « split album » de French Rural Synth propose donc deux voyages à la croisée des mondes spirituels et imaginaires.

One of my favorite dungeon synth albums, and I had only heard it a few days ago for the first time. Perfect for drifting off to sleep, but also for driving under the canopy of trees. It is very soft, and pleasant, yet vast at times. The ambient forest sounds are extremely soothing. A wonderful work of art that feels as refreshing as diving into the deeps of a natural, cold spring in the eves of summer. Bjorn
